If a quality problem is found with the item that requires input from the Scribe Operator, the IA Processing Team will send the item back to the scribe of origin for corrections.
The corrections item will appear on the Scribe Dashboard with an Item Status of "Downloading", then change to display the "Download pics" progress.
Once the item finishes downloading, a toast notification will appear at the top, middle of the screen, and its status will change to "Corrections Requested", indicating the item is ready for a Scribe Operator's interaction. The item's "NOTES" count indicates how many leaves require corrections.
- Click on the item's row to display the Book Panel, then click "Start corrections" to transition the item's status to "Corrections in progress".
- Click "Reshooting Index" to launch the Reshooting Index. which displays the list of leaves that need correcting, and various information on the leaves in question and the book they belong to.
- Click on a leaf's row to launch the Reshooting Interface for that leaf.
- The book action bar also has a "Start reshooting" button to begin with the first leaf that needs to be reshot.
- The Reshooting Interface displays information on the leaf, including a Leaf Note detailing the problem and the recommended action to resolve it.
- The original leaf displays on the left side; the reshoot will appear on the right side for easy side by side comparison.
- The book action bar also has a "Start reshooting" button to begin with the first leaf that needs to be reshot.
- Prepare the physical book at the scribe for the reshoot, then take a shot.
- The leaf's status on the Reshooting Index will change to a green check mark.
- Click "SWITCH" if the incorrect camera fired.
- The reshot leaf can be rotated, and its page type can be asserted.
- Inspect the reshot leaf; make further adjustments and reshoot if necessary.
- The "View original file" feature is available for closer inspection.
- Click "Next reshoot" to advance to the next leaf that needs to be reshot.
- Alternatively, you can click "Back to the Reshooting Index" and choose a leaf.
- The corrections cannot be uploaded until all requested leaves have been reshot.
- Once all leaves are ready to be uploaded, click "Upload corrections to Republisher" from the Reshooting Index or return to the Scribe Dashboard and use the Book Panel's "Upload" button.
Scribe3 will queue the corrections for upload; the item's status will change to "Corrections uploading", then "Uploaded to Republisher".
Next actions now shift to the IA Processing Team who will review the corrections and accept or reject them. After review, the corrections item will automatically disappear from the Scribe Dashboard.
The Scribe Operator will have no further actions for the item unless a subsequent round of corrections is requested.
Please ensure Scribe3 is running at all times in order to receive corrections requests as soon as possible.
